About the Event

California Dental Educators Infection Control course is approved by the Dental Board of California (DBC). California Dental Board requires a 2-CE course that is approved by the Dental Board of California for license renewal every 2 years. The Infection Control course meets Title 16, Regulation Section 1005, the Minimum Standards for Infection Control.

This course was developed to meet licensing requirements and provide dental professionals with up to date, evidence-based principles, and practices effective to eliminate the risk of spreading of pathogens to patients, and dental staff in your office. The course also addresses Bloodborne Pathogens Standards & CAL-DOSH. This course reaffirms the basics and assures that all who have taken this course will have the ability to collaborate the daily infection control protocols.

The course includes information compliant with the Dental Board of California and the recommendations from other agencies, the types of pathogenic organisms and how they can spread in a dental practice, work practice controls and how to reduce the risk of exposure to infectious materials, PPE, sanitization, disinfection and sterilization, waterline maintenance, CAL-DOSH.

This course is a 2-CE Infection Control as well as a 2-Unit Bloodborne Pathogens and CAL-DOSH self-study. When you have finished the quiz, return it with your evaluation form. Two separate certificates, the mandatory 2-CE Infection Control Certificate and the 2-Unit Bloodborne Pathogens & CAL-DOSH certificate, will be sent once the materials have been received.
