Do I have to bring  in my own patients?

For courses that require clinical patients, students will be required to bring their patients. These courses include Radiation Safety (4 patients), required not to have had a full mouth series of x-rays in the past year (18 x-rays, panoramic, or cephalometric), Pit & Fissure Sealants (4 patients) with one tooth in each quadrant, with non-restored, non-carious lesions. Coronal Polish (3 patients) with no calculus and non-orthodontics. These patient requirements are per DBC requirements. You will receive the paperwork for patient requirements once you register for the course.

How much is the course?

The cost of each class depends on the course you are taking and the course load required. Registration fees for each course can be found in the description field for the desired category. Our courses are in range with dental educators in the Sacramento region. We offer a one-weekend approach for each class, where you and your patients come to our office. This is a small setting where you have time and our educators' assistants, who have been doing this for over 15 years.

Rescheduling, Cancellation, and Refund Policy

In the event that you cannot make the dates for the course you have registered for, we are happy to offer you a spot in the next scheduled course if a spot is available. There will be a 20% course administration fee for rescheduling any course that you have signed up for. You will need to contact the program director by email for a code to re-register for the next course date that you can attend on the WIX platform to save you a spot and put you on the schedule. You are only allowed to reschedule twice, and you will be charged twice for the rescheduling.

If you wish to cancel a class you signed up for, a fee of 20% of the class fee will be deducted for administrative costs. You will be given a refund through WIX via the payment you used. All requests must be by email at californiadentaleducators@gmail.com

Please allow 7-10 days for refunds to be processed.

Please note: Once you have started a course, we encourage you to complete it. Students who do not show up to any of the didactic (lecture) or clinical (patient) sessions once the course has begun will be dropped from the course. Any students who have been dropped but would like to complete the course are welcome to contact our program director to review their options.

How do I get my Prerequisites ?

Classes that require prerequisites of; an 8-hour infection control certificate, 2-hour Dental Practice Act certificate, CPR certificate, RDA Licensure, or applying for the dental board RDA licensure; will need to email these certificates before course material is sent out. We do offer some of these courses, so please look under the courses tab at the top of the page for course details and times.

What is the attire for class?

Students must wear scrubs and closed-toed shoes during all clinical courses, including infection control, radiation safety, pit & fissure sealants, and coronal polish. The required PPE for each class can be found in the course description. For those who do not bring the necessary PPE, we offer kits that can be purchased under the "more" tab at the top of the page.

What are the times of the classes?

Each course has different class times and locations.

When the course states "didactic," this is the lecture. Each lecture for the course is different depending on the class; some courses are home study and Zoom.  The "pre-clinical” is at our Rocklin location for learning skills and practice. The "clinical" is also at our Rocklin location for the skills of the final exam and skills on your patients that you bring in at a scheduled time. The scheduled time for when you bring in your clinical patients will be given when you sign up for the class.

What if I lost my Certificate?

We issue you a certificate at the end of each course. If you need a new certificate, we can send you a new one for $15. We only hold certifications for up to 5 years from when you took the class.
