Begin Your Career in Dental Assisting as Soon as Tomorrow!
Start working at any dental office, and within 120 days of employment obtain your BLS/CPR certification, and complete our Dental Board of California required courses. The two approved courses we offer include, Infection control and Dental Practice Act/Law & Ethics. You are now officially a certified dental assistant (DA)!
Tailor your continued education to suit your needs. We offer career advancement courses to dental assistants.
Radiation Safety- Complete this course to be licensed in taking dental x-rays
Orthodontic Assistant- Focus your education in orthodontics by obtaining an Orthodontic Assistant Permit
Registered Dental Assistant (RDA)- Be able to perform duties such as, coronal polish, applying sealants, taking x-rays, and much more. After 15 months and a minimum of 1280 combined work experience and course-work hours, you can apply with the Dental Board of California for the RDA written exam.
Total courses required include, Infection Control, Dental Practice Act, BLS/CPR certification, Radiation Safety, Pit & Fissure Sealants, and Coronal Polish
California Dental Educators is committed to making your pathway to becoming a dental assistant (DA), or registered dental assistant (RDA), more flexible through offering the option of work experience in combination with Dental Board of California approved courses. Our courses are scheduled on evenings and weekends, for additional flexibility. This flexibility allows you to earn income while completing your education.
